ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Beniovska
A representative of the techno and acid house scene in Poland, when she’s humming a bit she also likes to play Bajm. When she is not mixing with a mixer, she is involved in production and multidisciplinary projects of the young artistic body in Poland. A member of the Gnojki collective. She has played live acts and dead sets in local clubs in Poland and Iceland. Currently she is delving into the secrets of field recording while creating intriguing sound stories.
Michał Sember
Born in Środa Śląska, he lives in Wrocław. He has been playing improvised music in various lineups for over a decade. He usually uses electric guitar, objects and voice. He has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Paulina Owczarek, Agusti Fernandez, Michał Biel, Adam Webster, Mateusz Rybicki, Paweł Doskocz, as well as musicians from the Dźwięk-Bud collective in Łódź. He is a member of the music editorial board of Academic Radio LUZ, where he hosts the author’s Tembr program on experimental music. As a Siemper he participates in rap freestyle battles and as a repmeis he plays DJ sets and produces computer songs.
Piotr Ceglarek
Ceglarek is one half of the duo C&D, co-founder and curator of Biuro Dźwięku Katowice. In his solo project, he creates a variety of improvised sound structures whose themes include synthetic natural phenomena, primordial rhythms and time shifts. In his sound workshop he operates a modular synthesizer using dub techniques.
Teoniki Rożynek
Rozynek’s musical interests focus heavily on timbre, which manifests itself in the search for and use of extended performance techniques, attempts to generate synthetic sounds that are unnatural to musical instruments, and the incorporation of electronic and digital media into music. She draws inspiration for her music mainly from the world around her, hence her fascination with “dirty”, “glitch” sounds, often extra-musical – coming from machines and their engines, sounds of cities, as well as nature. She has participated in the Warsaw Autumn, Musica Electronica Viva, Musica Electronica Nova and Kravín Rural Arts festivals. She is responsible for the soundtracks of many films, including “Tower. Bright Day” by Jagoda Szelc, and ‘Vacation’ by Filip Bojarski.
