Curator, cultural animator, and educator. Guided by the motto “from idea to realisation”, she invents, initiates, coordinates, and supports art projects. For 15 years, Kreis has been developing original projects in the field of contemporary art – exhibitions, workshops, educational programmes and publications aimed at engaging audiences of all ages. Her practice is informed by the context of place, as she explores ways of talking about art that bring it closer to everyday experience. She collaborates with cultural institutions and NGOs in Poland and abroad (i.a. the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Ukraine, Japan). Co-founder of the independent art gallery NOWY ZŁOTY, located in a kiosk in Wrocław’s Ołbin district, and of Wrocław Off Gallery Weekend – an event connecting similar exhibition initiatives, studios, and collectives. Initiator of the local art magazine ZIN OŁBIN and the Lower Silesian publication ZIN REGION, both created in collaboration with artists. Her recent projects include the family exhibition Šerosvit at Dětská galerie Lapidárium (Broumov, Czech Republic), educational and creative solutions for the exhibition The Palace of Animated Wonders (Film Museum in Łódź), the one-work gallery and family space Primo! (Krupa Art Foundation, Wrocław), and the publication Leksykon niezależnych inicjatyw wystawienniczych (Lexicon of Independent Exhibition Initiatives) (Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and NOWY ZŁOTY).
