The only such Polish alternative to commercial streaming services, free of charge and entirely supporting homegrown artists and creators from the independent scene. Available in English too!
spazializzati – spaziale – spatial
The multi-channel listening system allows you to find yourself inside the work, even to penetrate into the very essence of sound. That’s why we have been organizing a series of workshops and concerts in Wroclaw for the past 7 years, with the participation of Polish music and sound artists, which we present in quadro- and octophony. So far, their compositions have been on our Bandcamp, but soon they will be collected on a dedicated platform – in high sound quality and, above all, enabling surround listening: in ambisonic format in binaural and multichannel (5.1, 7.1) versions. So both on home theater and headphones. The platform can be found at: www.canti.pl (here!)
In addition, you will discover on it: a considerable archive of Wroclaw and Polish activities at the intersection of sound art and independent music, with a particular focus on topics such as sound ecology; works curated and commissioned by us, including Antonina Nowacka, Beniamin Głuszek, Aleksandra Słyż, Zaumne and many others; routes of sound walks organized by us in the Wroclaw area, for individual exploration.
The platform is finally a chance for us to become independent from streaming giants and de-corporatize at least part of Polish independent art. We invite you to our shared space today!
Project implementation: Michał Szota (programming); Karolina Pietrzyk and Mateusz Zieleniewski (graphic design); Daniel Brożek (curator, service concept); Marta Konieczna (PR, coordination). The organizer of the project is the Foundation for European Studies and BWA Wrocław Gallery of Contemporary Art is a partner of the project.
Project supported by funds of the National Recovery Plan: a program to support the activities of cultural sector entities and creative industries to stimulate their development.
