Created especially for the planetarium space, the audio-visual show is a mixture of popular culture motifs and more obscure visions, evoking associations with a close encounter with an alien. The animation was created in a program simulating the physical properties of a creature living in the Earth’s environment, accompanied by music that is a combination of field recordings and sounds generated in the depths of a personal computer.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
(Polski) Jędrzej Borowski
Inżynier dźwięku, artysta dźwiękowy, performer. Od 2014 roku związany ze śląską sceną muzyki elektronicznej. Swoją twórczość prezentował w ramach wydarzeń Biura Dźwięku Katowice, Canti Spazializzati oraz Przeglądu Sztuki Survival. Tworzy improwizowane słuchowiska i kolaże oparte na nagran iach terenowych oraz znalezionych i splądrowanych dźwiękach. Nakładem wydawnictwa Pionierska Records wydał dwie kasety – “Układy niestabilne” zawierające nagranie live-actu z roku 2016, oraz zbiór nagrań terenowych z Tokio z roku 2018.

Krystian Grzywacz – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Member of the Gnojki collective. Winner of the third edition of the WroArt Center Best Diploma Competition. Specializes in video art, sculpture and generating virtual areas (VR). Has participated in group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Paulina Czerek (Beniovska) – a representative of the techno and acid house scene in Poland, when she’s humming a bit she also likes to play Bajm. When she’s not mixing with a mixer, she’s involved in production and multidisciplinary projects of the young artistic body in Poland. A member of the Gnojki collective. She has played live acts and dead sets in local clubs in Poland and Iceland. Currently she is delving into the secrets of field recording while creating intriguing sound stories.

Beniamin Głuszek
Creator of sound installations, music theorist. The main subject of his interest is the sonification of the electrical activity of the human brain (EEG). He has presented his works in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Scotland and Poland – including at the “Warsaw Autumn” and “AudioArt” festivals, during the Art Review “Survival”.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
The concert took place on October 2, 2018, at the Planetarium of the Laboratory for Teaching and Popularization of Astronomy at the University of Wrocław.
