∞ The second workshop weekend of Canti Spazializzati Sound Lab 2022 will take a hybrid form! ∞
→ On Saturday, April 9, we will meet online to listen to a lecture on the technique and community surrounding the streaming of field recordings.
→ On Sunday, April 10, we invite you to the BWA Studio headquarters in Wrocław, in the courtyard at Ruska 46. We will take a look at recorders that allow you to share recordings in real time. We will also go out into the field to test their capabilities in the urban audiosphere. Together, we will listen to the sounds collected by the recorders.
⁕ The theme of both meetings will be live sound transmission, especially in field conditions, outside of studios. We will focus on technical issues as well as collectives formed around this issue. We will analyze the components and methods needed to create a live stream. We will show that these devices are accessible and easy to use. We will look at examples of existing streams—permanent and temporary installations, as well as festivals and events related to this topic.
