✽ Autonomous audio recorders expand our observations of the audiosphere through round-the-clock recordings. A vast archive of soundscapes is being created, which we are unable to listen to. We can analyze them, convert them into data strings to try to understand the state of the environment based on its sound. These collections of sound files can be used as scientific material or as a basis for sound works that use both sound itself and the sonification of data from recording analyses.
✽ At the meeting, we will talk about ecoacoustics and learn how to use the Kaleidoscope Lite (Wildlife Acoustics) tool, which enables basic analysis and search for sound events (we will work on recordings from irrigation fields in Wrocław).
