Dr. Paweł Małecki, Eng., is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow. He graduated with honors in two fields: Automation and Robotics, and MiBM: Vibroacoustics and Sound Engineering. In 2013, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled Evaluation of subjective and objective characteristics of the acoustic field of objects with long reverberation times at the same faculty. His thesis focused on psychoacoustic issues in the perception of music in a highly reverberant acoustic field. Currently, his scientific interests focus on auralization and the use of ambisonic techniques in the analysis of acoustic phenomena. He also deals with digital signal transmission, perception, quality assessment, and other related issues. As a sound engineer, he has produced over 30 LPs (as a recording, mixing, mastering engineer, or all of the above). He specializes in recording acoustic music, jazz, folk and folklore, choral and classical music. He is the founder and technical director of lem.fm radio. He has worked on the board of Radiokit Ltd., a company providing radio software in server technology. As an acoustic consultant, he is the author of dozens of acoustic designs and guidelines, as well as sound system installations. He is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including the Mayor of Krakow Scholarship, the European Doctus Scholarship, and others. He is the author of over 50 scientific papers, including 18 articles in journals from the Thomson Reuters list.
